I had one of those reminiscing days today. . .
Last year I didn't work so many days a week. So I would pick up my—then 1st grader and we'd go to the local bakery and we'd order Chai tea lattes and pumpkin spiced cupcakes or huge sugar cookies and we'd sit in big comfy leather arm chairs in this cozy little bakery and we'd talk about tidal pools and sea stars and why the leaves turned red in the Autumn time.
I hope this is a memory that my son will remember when he gets older.
As a parent I've always strived to make my children happy and give them the best childhood memories because I never had any of that as a child.
I want them to be happy individuals. Who think and believe freely.
I hope as he gets older and looks back.. these memories and images remind him of cozy warm comforts and giggles and happiness!!
